Biochemistry-CORE

The main activity of the Biochemistry-CORE unit is the analysis of the most common measurements, both in blood (glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides...) and in urine (urea analysis, urinary sediment...), which in many cases provide data that is decisive in diagnosing diseases and facilitating its prognosis, control and monitoring.

Analysis is also made of other more specific parameters, such as drug abuse screening in urine, haemoglobin studies, the determination of glycosylated haemoglobin (a very important parameter in the monitoring and control of diabetes) or parameters related to oxidative stress.
