Image Analysis

The main objective of the Image Analysis Unit is the evaluation of semen quality in livestock species of interest, through sperm analysis tests.

Predicting the fertilizing capacity of sperm is of great importance in livestock production for the selection of males with better reproductive values.

In recent years there has been a great development in the field of animal reproduction, intimately linked to the application of artificial insemination, a technique that has allowed the maximum use of the genetic potential of high-value breeding, improving the control of all reproductive processes and helpìng farms obtain optimal reproductive yields.
